Setting up Outlook 2000 is very easy.
You will need a few pieces of information to start out:
- Your user name
- Your password
- Your email account domain(this would be either atlantech.net
or yourcompany.com)
Open up Outlook and go to Tools, Accounts
then select the Mail tab. Click on the Add
button and select Mail.

Enter the name that you'd like for your
account(usually your name) and hit Next.

Enter your email address in the box on the
next screen. This should be your username@atlantech.net
or username@yourcompany.com. Hit Next.

Select the POP mail server from the drop
down menu and then enter mail.atlantech.net for your
incoming and smtp.atlantech.net as your outgoing mail
servers. If your company has its own domain name(ie.
microsoft.com) enter mail.yourcompanyname.com as your
incoming mail server (POP3) and smtp.atlantech.net
for your outgoing mail server (SMTP). . Hit Next.

Enter your user name in the Account name
box and your password in the box below. Be sure to check
the "Remember Password" box and leave the SPA box unchecked.
Hit Next.

If you are using a DSL connection through
Atlantech, select the radio button for Connect using
my local area network(LAN). If you are using a dial-up
connection, select the button for establishing the internet
connection manually. You will need to set up your dial
up connection separately in order to connect up and
use e-mail. Hit the Next button and then you are ready
to finish the wizard.

Hit Finish and you are now ready to use
your brand new Atlantech email account.
