Network Philosophy
Atlantech Online, Inc. is dedicated to providing the highest quality of products and services. We have built our backbone and our peering points to ensure we always have enough capacity for our customers demanding needs. We provide the ultimate physical environment necessary to keep your access and servers up and running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our completely redundant network routes around bottlenecks or temporary failures that are a part of life with the Internet. If another network is experiencing problems we simply redirect traffic to another path to avoid packet loss. With our BGP capabilities and our multiple peering points we can move and distribute traffic to maximize performance for our customers.

Redundancy
Atlantech Online links our Maryland Data Center and secondary POPs with diverse entrance fiber paths that enable redundancy and speeds up to several hundred Gigabits per second through the use of scalable DWDM technology. This "mesh" configuration eliminates single point-to-point fiber link failures to ensure the redundancy allowing for uninterrupted flow of our customers data across the network. Every piece of networking equipment, from a customer's 100 Mbps Ethernet connection to our Internet peering points, has a minimum of 1 to 1 redundancy. We simply do not tolerate downtime, packet loss, or latency.

Security
At Atlantech we share our customer's concerns about the security of their equipment and data, and we have deployed the most stringent measures to protect our customer's assets. We have a wide range of security features at all of our locations including motion sensors, and 24×7 secured access, as well as video camera surveillance and security breach alarms. We require advance notification and a valid photo ID for any visitor admittance to our facilities.

Peering Relationships
Atlantech Online currently maintains several Gbps of Internet Peering bandwidth through Level3, Savvis, MCI, Verio, Global Crossing, and AboveNet, as well as many private peering relationships.

Performance
Atlantech Online utilizes patented route optimization technology that monitors the performance of our peers and optimizes the path to destinations to provide the best internet experience for our customers. This is all done in real-time, so network problems that occur upstream from Atlantech Online can be seen and subsequently routed around, using a different peer or path. These tests for both latency and packet loss have proven to provide faster and more reliable network access than our competitors.
